Twitter

I’m happy user of Windows 8, really. It’s nice OS, definitely worth 30 Euro I’ve paid for it. It has this nice feature that you can put one Windows App (yeah, it must be app of new type) on 1/4 of the screen and second one (any app this time) on the rest. So you can surf the web and chat without switching between windows. Works nice, feels nice, love it. As there is new Skype app and I’m using it a lot I’ve decided to try. And well, Skype for Windows 8 works good, looks great, but has no notifications about incoming messages. Which sucks and makes it pretty useless for me. I’ve wanted to share my grief with the public, what do we have Internet for anyway, so I’ve posted my thoughts on Twitter. And here is the reply from Skype support, it’s automatic and totally unrelated, but made my evening:)

I’ve been invited to test threadsy.com which is some kind of aggregation site which combines your mail, Facebook and Twitter (and more) accounts into one data stream. After some troubles with creating my account (it’s still in testing phase, so it can happen) I’ve added my Gmail, Twitter and Facebook accounts into it and begin to play. It’s pretty impressive. Everything is divided into two streams. One on the left called “inbound” consist every message which is posted directly to you. Left stream, called “unbound” is everything posted by your friends which is not addressed directly to you. You can post comments to Facebook posts directly from the stream, you can “like” them as well. You can post your post from it either and it’s possible to post both to FB and twitter simultaneously. It saves some time. But two things are pretty awesome:

Maybe somebody have noticed that I’ve started using Twitter. First I’ve felt like I’m getting mad or something. What is it for? I’ve been asking myself. It’s complete waste of time and it’s stupid thing, good for schoolgirls or lonely people. But now I can see that there are some advantages of this. Yesterday I’ve gained one follower, which is probably a bot, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve wanted to get some info about who is so interested in rubbish I’m writing. And found out that this is some hosting provider who is offering free web hosting. Nice? Of course, but after further investigation it began to be even nicer. Because, ladies and gentlemen, here you have hosting, which is absolutely free, and has such features as:
